30-seconds to Save $20

I just saved $20 by getting free shipping when sending some tins of Garrett popcorn for thank you gifts. All I did was a Google search for "Garrett popcorn promo code".

Promo codes save you money! It's that easy to save money when shopping online.

So remember, every time you're ready to buy something online, STOP, and do a search for a promo code. Search for the product as well as the company you're purchasing from. You'll be amazed at the savings.

Oh, and if you haven't tried Garrett's popcorn you're obviously not from Chicago. Do yourself a favor and order a tin of the Chicago mix. Yum!

DIY Book Docking Station

Tired of messy recharging cords all over the place? Me too!

That's why I was excited to find a DIY phone docking station made from a book on Pinterest. So clever.

Here's a direct link to the instructions to make a docking station from your own book. Just be sure the book is thick enough for your cord to turn and come out the other side. Bought mine at a resale shop for $1 and I think it looks great.

NEW--Handwrite Your Google Search

I always like trying new fun stuff so I was excited today to read about the new Handwrite option for Google. It lets you handwrite your search on Google.com for mobile devices.

Thought I'd really like it for the iPad but was surprised to find that it takes a LOT longer to write a search than to type or speak it. Oh well, not every newfangled feature is for everyone.

Want to give it a try? Go to google.com on your mobile device, enable the handwrite feature in settings (at bottom of screen), and start writing anywhere on the screen.
