NEW--Handwrite Your Google Search

I always like trying new fun stuff so I was excited today to read about the new Handwrite option for Google. It lets you handwrite your search on Google.com for mobile devices.

Thought I'd really like it for the iPad but was surprised to find that it takes a LOT longer to write a search than to type or speak it. Oh well, not every newfangled feature is for everyone.

Want to give it a try? Go to google.com on your mobile device, enable the handwrite feature in settings (at bottom of screen), and start writing anywhere on the screen.

If you don't know TED, you definitely need to check it out. TED is one of my favorite websites ever. There's a fabulous array of talks by impressively bright folks all available for free and I guarantee almost every one will get you thinking.

And, of course, there's an app available (also free) for Apple as well as android products.

Just $1.36 a Year to Power Your iPad

If you're looking to conserve electricity--get an iPad. According to the Electric Power Research Institute, a desktop PC costs $28.21 to power for a year. That's more than 20 times as much as an iPad. For even greater savings, use an iPhone. A year's worth of electricity is estimated at just 38-cents.

Unfortunately, your electricity savings won't offset the purchase price for quite a while so you'll need to factor in the fun you'll have as well. Let me know if you need help boosting your fun factor!
